Most "AI agent" products are a prompt in a trench coat doing an impression of a brain. We'll skip the suspense: Remote is Claude Code. The real one, running on your Mac. We didn't build a model — we built the part Anthropic didn't bother with: a voice interface good enough that you forget there's a terminal under it.

unmute has no intelligence of its own, and that is the feature. All the brains are Claude's. We gave it ears and got out of the way.

• 1. Speak the task. Hold right ⌥ and say it like a human. No prompt-craft, no syntax, no "as an AI language model."
• 2. It runs on your Mac. Real files, real terminal, your actual logged-in Chrome, your apps. Not a sandbox. Not a vibe.
• 3. You watch, or you don't. A live view shows the work; an indicator nags you only when it genuinely needs a decision.
• 4. It comes back. The result lands where you're working — files, links, the lot. Answer follow-ups by voice.

Claude Code gets smarter the more you feed it — skills, memory, project files, little notes-to-self. The people getting absurd value out of it are the ones forever grooming that context. You're not, because doing it by hand is tedious and you are (lovingly) lazy.

So say it out loud instead. "Save how I just did that as a skill." "Remember I always want X." "Spin up a project for this client." Friction gone, flywheel spinning, and the thing you pay a fortune for every month finally earns its keep.

To get things done without pestering you about every step, Remote runs with real permissions. The guardrails, because we're not reckless:

• Human-initiated, always. It does the one thing you asked, when you ask. No background agent quietly redecorating your hard drive.
• Kill it instantly. One stop, everything stops.
• Training wheels, optional. Turn on per-action approval, or fence it to a single folder.
• Your credentials stay yours. We never see your keys or logins — you authorize things inside your own Claude Code. Frankly we don't want them; they sound like a liability.

Remote is exactly as fast as Claude Code — which is to say it thinks before it acts, like an adult. Not instant. It's also exactly as reliable as Claude Code — which is to say, the most reliable agent there is. We'll take that trade every time. And as Claude Code gets faster and smarter, so does Remote. We're just along for the ride; it's a good ride.
