Yes. Remote runs Claude Code on your machine, on your plan (Pro or Max). We're the voice layer, not the brain — see the entire rest of the site. - Is the free version crippled?
No. On-device dictation is genuinely good and fully offline. The paid plans add cloud speed and Remote, which need our servers and your Claude Code, respectively. - $8.99 on top of a giant Claude bill, really?

It isn't — the app is signed and notarized by Apple. That message is a browser-download quirk (a stray quarantine flag). Open the DMG, drag unmute into Applications, then run this once in Terminal:xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/unmute.appand open it. If it still complains, your download was incomplete — delete it and download again.
